These Consumer Terms of Service ("Consumer Terms") govern individual use of James products and services ("Services") offered by James AI Tech LLC ("James," "we," "us") through self-serve signup, free trials, or individual paid plans.
1. Scope and relationship to Commercial Terms
Consumer Terms apply when you use James as an individual consumer or sole user without an organization-wide commercial agreement. If your use is covered by a team, API, or enterprise contract, the Commercial Terms of Service govern instead. Consumer and Commercial Terms are distinct; the document that matches your relationship with James controls.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorized access.
3. Permitted use
You may use the Services for personal or professional development work consistent with the Usage Policy. You may not resell access, scrape the Services in violation of technical limits, or use the Services for unlawful or harmful activity.
4. Subscriptions and trials
Plan features, limits, and pricing are shown at purchase. Trials may convert to paid plans unless canceled before the trial ends. Cancellation and refund rules are displayed at checkout and in your account settings where applicable.
5. Content and outputs
You retain rights to content you submit. You grant James the rights needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services. You are responsible for reviewing AI-assisted outputs before relying on them in production or regulated contexts.
6. Privacy
Our privacy practices describe how we collect and use personal data. By using the Services, you acknowledge those practices.
7. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties except where required by law. James does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, James is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Direct liability is limited to amounts you paid James for the Services in the twelve (12) months before the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these Consumer Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
